The Dodgers and Zack Greinke have agreed to a six-year, $147 million contract, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
The deal is pending a physical.
Greinke, 29, went 15-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 34 starts for the Brewers and Angels in 2012, having allowed 200 hits, 54 walks, and 18 home runs with 200 strikeouts in 212 1/3 innings.
Michael Baron, MetsBlog.com:
This leaves the Rangers, Angels, Red Sox, Royals and Blue Jays all looking for front-line starting pitching ' most of which have rich farm systems. And, there is a huge drop off on the free agent market behind Greinke. So clearly, this is the best case scenario for the Mets on the trade market.
