Mets activate Carrasco; option Valdespin to Buffalo

The Mets have activated D.J. Carrasco from the disabled list, the team announced.

To make room for Carrasco on the roster, the Mets optioned Jordany Valdespin to Triple-A Buffalo.

Carrasco was placed on the disabled list before the start of the season after twisting his ankle in a Spring Training game in early March.

Carrasco went 1-2 with a 6.02 ERA in 42 relief appearances and one start last year.
