Terry Collins talked to reporters after Wednesday night's win and had the following to say about:
Jon Niese, who pitched seven innings and allowed one run:
'He was very good. He threw all his pitches for strikes. I thought his change up was good tonight and his sinker was good. After the first inning he was outstanding.
Thole's swinging bunt that led to a double play and getting called out for running in the baseline:
'That's a bad rule. Unless you put first base outside that white line that's a bad rule. Sooner or later you've got to come inside that line or else you're going to break your leg.'
David Wright, who went 3-for-4:
'Hopefully the day off helped him. I just can't tell you how important he's been to the club all year long. If there is one guy that you can actually say, as he goes we go, that would be David Wright.'
