Johan Santana did not participate in workouts this past weekend. Terry Collins told reporters Santana needs extra treatment for his arm, and he's day-to-day.
However, Collins is hopeful that Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Daniel Murphy can play in a Grapefruit League game by the end of this week.
Frank Francisco threw off of a mound for the first time this spring.
Zack Wheeler was demoted to minor league camp yesterday, after which he threw a live batting practice session to minor leaguers; he says his oblique felt fine, and he hopes to soon pitch in a game.
Collin McHugh, Cory Mazzoni, Elvin Ramirez, Darin Gorski and 8 others were also sent to minor league camp.
Lastly, David Wright hit a Grand Slam during Team USA's win on Saturday. He is 5-for-11 with a home run, five RBI, four runs scored, and three walk in the tournament, which you can read more about here and here.
